Real Madrid host Manchester City in Champions League quarterfinals

First leg of 200th Champions League game for Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid and Manchester City meet again on Tuesday in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal with the 14-time winners facing the current titleholders.

The match at the Bernabeu in the Spanish capital kicks off at 2000 GMT.

It is the 200th Champions League game for Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is the most successful manager in the competition's history.

Real Madrid and Manchester City have met twice before in the knockout stages of the Champions League, with the team that progressed from each of those past two encounters going on to win the competition.

Real Madrid won 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals in 2016, while Manchester City won 4-2 on aggregate in the last 16 in 2020.

Real Madrid are the most successful team in the history of the Champions League, having won the competition a record 14 times.

Manchester City are the current holders of the Champions League, having won the competition for the first time last season.
